Protection Guru’s Protection Forum Sparks Engaging Debate on Consumer Duty Obligations
Protection Guru’s Protection Forum took place last week with a record number of attendees joining the debate. The topic focused on Consumer Duty – Where are we and what still needs to be done?
We heard from an array of amazing speakers providing a different perspective across the industry. We have already received an outstanding amount of positive feedback for the session about how the different views and commentary from our speakers have helped to give certainty to Advisers that they are prepared appropriately to meet their Consumer Duty obligations.
A huge thank you to our Forum speakers:
- Stacy Penn – The Association of Mortgage Intermediaries
- Angela Davidson – Mortgage Intelligence UK
- Mark Hale, MICA – Vitality
- Emma Vaughan – SimplyBiz
- Neil Hoare DipM FCIM – HLPartnership
- Matthew Chapman – Plus Financial Group
This topic could certainly be debated upon for many hours. The forum enables the opportunity to share the challenges faced across the protection industry bringing together Insurers, Adviser and technology partners and how we can drive positive change in the industry together.

Just a few more days now until my colleague, Adam Higgs, participates in the ‘Longest Day of Golf’ walking a marathon whilst carrying a set of golf clubs and playing four rounds of golf in one day. This is to raise funds for Macmillan Cancer Support.
Adam is committed to making a difference by raising funds for this worthy organisation. Any support you can offer, whether through a donation or spreading the word about his fundraising efforts, would be greatly appreciated.
Adam will be providing updates on the day through his Twitter account, giving you an opportunity to witness his journey and perhaps share a laugh or two along the way. Your contribution, no matter how big or small, will make a meaningful impact in supporting those affected by cancer.
If you would like to support Adam and his team, the link to do so is below:
