Two important deadlines and everything else we covered last week
We start our weekly round-up this week with a reminder that tomorrow (31st August) is the final deadline for submissions in our 2022 Protection Guru Awards, as well as the final day of the ProtectionGuruPro free trial.
It seems like no time ago that we announced both of these, but the summer has flown by and as we move into Autumn we’ll be busy working on further updates and developments and of course also hosting our awards event at the beginning of October.
The response we’ve received since launching ProtectionGuruPro has been fantastic and it’s been great to see lots of advisers using it. Our ultimate purpose has always been to grow the market and help protect more families, by giving advisers the tools and resources they need to deliver high quality protection advice. We believe ProtectionGuruPro will be a real asset to any advice business and look forward to working with lots of you going forward.
We hit a few milestones recently on ProtectionGuruPro as well. We’ve now had over 1,900 different product analysis run, across critical illness, life and income protection. One stat that particularly stood out is that we recently exceeded £1,000,000 in IP monthly benefit on quality comparisons. This serves as a useful reminder that ProtectionGuruPro is not limited to just critical illness comparisons and instead will allow advisers to run product quality comparisons on the full range of protection products.
There’s still time to login and try ProtectionGuruPro for free if you’ve not yet done so, just follow this link. The trial period will be ending at midnight on the 31st August.
Turning to our 2022 Protection Guru Awards, as above the submissions deadline for these will also be at midnight tomorrow (31st August). We announced our insurer shortlists last week and have already had some very strong entries in the individual, firm and network awards. We look forward to announcing the further shortlists soon and welcoming guests at the awards luncheon on Friday 7th October.
For our regular protection content and analysis, we kicked things off last week with an insight looking at when automatic financial evidence is required for business protection critical illness cover.
On Tuesday we announced the topic for our upcoming September Protection Forum, where we’ll be focusing on the challenges and opportunities of consumer duty. This promises to be an insightful and timely discussion, with some great speakers already lined up. Advisers can sign-up to attend for free here.
For Wednesdays insight we turned our attention to life insurance and specifically the additional support some insurers provide for the family of a deceased policy holder with estate administration and legal matters.
Business protection was the focus once again on Thursday, this time looking at the guaranteed increase options, whilst on Friday we published a round-up of insights on underwriting limits for business protection applications.
Have a great week everyone!
