Who gave the best dinner? 2021 industry event ratings
At Protection Guru we are committed to ensuring advisers have access to accurate, objective research and analysis to make the right decisions. Deciding which conference or awards event to attend is a decision that should not be taken lightly.
Attending the right event can result in numerous positive outcomes, including turning up for morning registration and qualifying for a CPD certificate (and then spending the remainder of the day shopping. Sorry, I mean “catching up on client correspondence”), to a post-awards dinner clubbing session until 6am.
The protection industry has much to be proud of over the last few years, with the quality of conference and awards dinner hotel venues constantly improving and some exciting innovations in after dinner entertainment.
With the industry having done much to expand the number of products available to clients, it’s not rested on its laurels when it comes to awards events. We now have a packed programme of conferences and dinners throughout the year, with much to chose from for the discerning adviser looking for a free lunch.
To support the industry in driving genuine improvements and innovation and ensuring advisers and insurer staff continue to have access to the highest quality events, we’re launching our first ever Protection Guru Event Ratings.
These ratings will focus on the things that truly matter to attendees, such as the quality of champagne on offer, cloakroom facilities or which Z list celeb is handing out the awards.

Protection Guru Doctors Analysis
Of course, after two years of sitting in our living rooms eating takeaways, the nutritional quality of the food on offer at conferences and dinners will be of particular concern to attendees (though this writer must confess that at the Protection Review Conference I gorged on the cakes; 10/10 by the way).
Our ratings always draw heavily on the expertise of medical experts and professionals and whilst unfortunately Gillian McKeith was unavailable at this time, or own panel of doctors were able to assist.
