Introducing Jo Legg – The newest Protection Guru
It seems like an age since we first made the offer, but this week the day finally arrived when oour newest recruit joined the team. The week has been somewhat of a whirlwind, but Jo has brought an infectious enthusiasm to the team and we are delighted to have her on board and to see her impact across the business, with you our readers and all our clients. We asked Jo to write an introduction to herself and what she is excited about in her ongoing role.
Jo said:
“I am genuinely passionate about protection products and providing the best outcomes for clients which is why I am thrilled to have been given the opportunity to join the Protection Guru team. Protection contracts are very close to my heart and I enjoy discussing every aspect of protection propositions and the reasons why it’s so important.
Having been in the industry for a significant number of years I have gained a wealth of knowledge. Prior to joining Protection Guru I worked at LV= for nearly 13 years. This gave me the foundations to have an in depth understanding in both personal and business protection, working with mortgage brokers, wealth managers and general IFA’s. I love building honest and open long standing working relationships, which I feel is reflected in my work and will give me a great basis for my new challenge here at Protection Guru.
In my spare time my husband and I love to travel and see the world gaining new experiences from different cultures. My top 3 destinations are Thailand, New York and the Maldives. I love to cook, read books and take long walks, especially in the Autumn months to the forest or the beach. We have two miniature dachshund puppies called Poppy & Daisy who keep us on our toes…. I must be mad having a 9 month old and 7 month old !! Although they keep me busy, I wouldn’t have it any other way 😊 If you asked my friends to describe me they would say ‘I am loyal, will always make time for family and friends as a priority, the outgoing and organised one of the group’.
The opportunity to join Protection Guru was very unexpected, I have always admired the innovation and support Protection Guru provides to the industry leading the way with technology streamlining processes, making protection recommendations easier and policies more simple, easy to understand and compare … I see Protection Guru as the ‘Eyes and Ears’ of the protection industry.
There are lots of exciting developments coming to Protection Guru and I am really excited to be part of this journey. I am looking forward to maintaining existing working relationships and growing new ones, raising both mine and the Protection Guru profile within the industry.”
